9 points split three ways every hole
On every hole, 9 points are distributed among 3 players based on net score. The player with the lowest net score earns 5 points, the middle score earns 3 points, and the highest score earns 1 point. Total always equals 9.
When two players tie, the points for their two positions are combined and split evenly. E.g. if two players tie for low, they split 5+3 = 4 points each, and the third player gets 1. If all three tie, each gets 3 points.
Payout type: Points (each net point pays the bet-per-point, default $1) or Winner Takes All (default bet-per-player $5). Birdie and eagle bonus points (defaults 2 and 5) reward standout holes. Pig (on): a 2+ net-stroke sweep of the field takes all 9 points. Carryover (off): an all-tied hole rolls its points forward. Net play uses standard USGA allocation (a 2nd stroke past a course handicap of 18); strokes are always full.
At the end of the round, points are totalled. The average across 18 holes is 54 points per player (162 total ÷ 3). Players above average collect from those below at the dollar-per-point rate.
