Last 3-putt holds the snake — and pays at the end
The Snake is a penalty game built around putting. The first player to 3-putt takes the snake 🐍. They hold it until someone else 3-putts and takes it from them. The player holding the snake at the end of the round pays every other player the agreed bet amount.
The snake transfers immediately when any player 3-putts. If multiple players 3-putt on the same hole, the snake goes to the last one marked. If the current snake holder 3-putts again on a later hole, they continue to hold it — it does not reset.
One payout at the end of the round: the final snake holder pays every other player the $ / player amount. With 4 players at $5 each, the snake holder pays $15 total (3 × $5). The other three players each collect $5.
If nobody 3-putts all round, no money changes hands. The results screen will show "No snake" and $0 for everyone.
Bet-per-player (default $5). Putt mode: Flat — the final holder pays the flat amount to each player; or Per Putt — the payout multiplies by the total number of 3-putts that happened all round, so a putt-heavy round costs the holder far more. The active player set is configurable.
