Lowest net score wins — handicap levels the field
Each player plays stroke play and records their gross score. Their full handicap (or a configured percentage) is subtracted from the gross total to produce a net score. The player with the lowest net score wins.
Net scoring allows players of different skill levels to compete fairly. A 20-handicapper who shoots 92 nets 72 — the same as a scratch player shooting 72. The handicap brings everyone to the same baseline.
Bet-per-player (default $20) sets the buy-in. Handicaps: Index on Low HC (on) with a percentage (0/50/75/85/100%, default 100), Stroke allocation Full or Half (default Full), and per-player overrides. Standard USGA allocation applies, so a course handicap over 18 earns a second stroke on the hardest holes.
All players pay the buy-in; the lowest net score collects the pot. Ties split the pot evenly.
