How It Works

Two teams of two compete. On each hole, each player plays their own ball throughout. The team's score is the better (lower) net score between the two partners. The team with the lower best-ball score wins the hole.

Options & Variations

Format can be Match, Stroke, or both at once (both pay out separately) — default Match. Bet-per-player (default $20). Presses (default on, $10) are available in Match format and fire when a team falls behind. Assign Team A / B. Handicaps: Index on Low HC (on, indexed off the active four) with a percentage (default 100%) and Full or Half strokes; standard USGA allocation gives a 2nd stroke past 18.

Payouts

The losing team pays the winning team per match (and per stroke total, if both formats are on). A halved match exchanges nothing.

Pro Tips

• If your partner is already in great position, take a risk with your own shot.
• Best ball is forgiving — one bad hole rarely costs you the match.
